The APC-NYC Board of Directors is proud to announce that we exceeded our goals for the year and will be awarding a record breaking $50,000 to deserving students at this year’s Scholarship Awards Ceremony next week on June 18th!
We simply could not have done this without all of the support from our members and sponsors this year so please accept our most sincere THANK YOU! for all that you have done to support the club and the students during this 2014-2015 scholarship fundraising season.
The APC-NYC will be distributing the scholarship funds in partnership with the Graphic Communications Scholarship Foundation—The industry leading foundation for student scholarships. A strict evaluation process was performed by a committee of Industry Professionals, including members of the APC-NYC Board of Directors, to judge all of the applications submitted. Amongst other items, students are required to submit a transcript of their grades, 3 letters of recommendation, SAT or ACT scores, a 3-500 word essay and a portfolio of their work. Once the judging is complete, the awards are determined by rank and then distributed to the students via the school they attend!
On Thursday, June 18th, the Award-Winning Students and their Proud Parents come together with GCSF Trustees & APC-NYC Directors, GCSF Donors, Industry guests and Educator guests, for a ceremony in which students receive their scholarship awards as well as corporate donated gifts.
